Colour/Appearance
Both beers pour a deep, opulent black capped by a creamy tan head but subtle differences emergewith hints of mahogany and amber around the edges for the Cognac and deep ruby red for the Red Wine.
Aroma
Rich notes of roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate dominate upfront on both beers. The distinct presence of cognac emerges, with its signature bouquet of dried fruits, warm spices, and a hint of oak, while red wine characteristics appear in the latter beer.
Flavour
Bold and robust, roasted malt takes center stage, unleashing waves of espresso, cocoa, and molasses. The influence of the cognac barrels is unmistakable, nuances of raisins, figs, and dried cherries impart a subtle sweetness, balanced by a gentle warmth from the cognac’s elevated alcohol content. Dark cheery and plum flavours follow with a subtle acidity from the red wine barrels.

WHAT IS IRISH WHISKEY STOUT?
A magical chemistry happens when a traditional stout is allowed to rest in a whiskey barrel. The resulting beer is silky-smooth with oaky characteristics, vanilla and dry tannins combining with the roasted malts creating a symphony of flavours.
